The same code changed for Adafruit backpack method. See code and picture at the bottom of the page.

Not my code:

I added the #include <Arduino.h> instruction in the Datetime.h library.

Also make sure you add the DateTime lib as well as the DateTimeString lib according to the developer.

Then to sync the time, I had to change the year characters to 2003 to accommodate the year display regarding 2013.(2003+10=2013)

Then I changed the code slightly to accommodate the Adafruit backpack method regarding display. with the backpack we so much less wires to connect.
